Always a treat to come to Dr. Sages office . The professionalism at the office of Dr. sage and the staff is out of this world. Always sincere with care of the patient makes this Doctors office visit one of the most hospitable and relaxing experiences I have ever had.

After having recurring dry eye issues for many years I made an appointment with Dr Sage. Upon consultation with him he prescribed a LipiFlow treatment. Now, after almost four years and followup appointments with him, my dry eye issues have not recurred. I am so thankful that after many years of dealing with this problem I was referred to Dr Sage. His expertise and helpfulness is incredible.

I took my husband to Dr Sage a laser surgery in both eyes, and we are extremely impressed. The quality of care was exceptional, and Dr Sage demonstrated a deep understanding of, patient, and expertise.He took the time to, to follow up on my husband’s treatment and ensure his care was though. Dr. Sage and staff are top notch. My mom recently had eye surgery for both of her eyes and there is no one I could recommend more highly for your eyecare. Dr. Sage is patient and kind. He makes you feel like family and his staff is knowledgeable and warm. My mom is 83 and it is important that she feels heard and did at Sage Eyecare. And Monica Sage is an additional bonus. She goes above and beyond to make the process from start to finish seamless.

Dr Jeff Sage did a fantastic job for me with cataract surgery. I went with mono vision with one eye for reading and the other eye for distance. I can read the smallest print size on an iPhone and all the signs when I drive. The process was simple and easy and Dr Sage and his staff are warm, friendly and professional. As a doctor myself, I appreciated the good care!

I had a stubborn stye for over 3 years that I treated with ointments and hot compresses, but would never fully dissolve. One visit to Dr. Sage and it has completely dissolved after 1 week! So happy to have my full eyelid without invasive surgery. Only an injection which was covered by insurance. Thank you Dr. Sage and team. (Below is an old photo of the stye!)

Dr. Sage is definitely the best doctor and human being we have ever met in our lives! My wife had her cataract surgeries followed by YAG procedures for her both eyes, and Dr. Sage was just so kind, compassionate, attentive and super professional. He made my wife feel so comfortable (she was so nervous!) with his warm and kind energy. He always took time to answer her questions every time she reached out to him. After the surgeries we moved to another city, and when my wife went to have her eyes checked the new doctor said, "Wow, I have never seen such a great surgeries before! Whoever did your cataract surgeries he/she did a good job!" We are so grateful. Thank you so much, Dr. Sage! You ROCK!

I highly recommend Dr. Sage! With a great bedside manner, he answers all your questions and you don't need six doctorates to understand his explanations. I had cataract surgeries in both eyes a week apart and it couldn't have gone smoother. I'm a little squeamish when it comes to anything to do with my eyes but Dr. Sage walked me through it and in no time it was done and I was on my way home. Great, friendly staff too. A nice guy and skilled surgeon.

I am late to post this but I needed to let Dr.Sage know. I took my mom to see him, and let me say we love this doctor! Not only did he speak Spanish, takes HMO but his bedside manners, chef's kiss, or in other terms he was amazing.He made my mom feel comfortable and at ease. I work in the medical field and let me say it is rare when you meet a doctor like Dr.Sage. I've had dry eye problem with my eyes for many years and I've tried different treatments and medicines. In October 2020 I went to Dr Sage after a recommendation from a friend.I received lipiflow treatment for both eyes. It was only one treatment and I was skeptical. My eyes improved immediately. Since the treatment, my eyes have significantly improved. I no longer suffer the frustrating symptoms and problems associated with dry eyes. Thank you, Dr Sage, your treatment has been a life changing experience that I can recommend to anyone else with a dry eye condition.

I was having difficulty driving at night. And I thought our TV was dying (see attached hockey pics for manually-created approximation of what I was seeing before and after the procedure). So I went in for a consultation and was diagnosed with moderate cataracts.Dr. Sage recently (Oct/Nov. 2019) completed cataract surgeries on both of my eyes. The results are better than I had hoped. I was severely nearsighted (worse than 20/600) and had astigmatism. I needed glasses or contact lenses for over 45 years. Now, I no longer need glasses - with an occasional exception in that I sometimes use reading glasses for reading tiny tiny print. Again, better than I hoped.As other reviewers have said, Dr. Sage is very kind and has a wonderful bedside manner. On multiple occasions during the process, I had some questions. Dr. Sage was always responsive and attentive. He never made me feel like I was being rushed or brushed aside. He was patient and explained things clearly. I called the office a couple of times with some questions that I thought could be answered by an office assistant or office manager. But before I knew it, Dr. Sage was on the phone with me and took his time to address my questions/concerns.On a side note, for comparison purposes, during this process, I went to a second group for a cataract surgery consultation. Although the other group had a fancy schmancy office that reminded me of a high-end day spa, their doctors and reps made me feel like I was being a nuisance when I posed questions or concerns. Dr. Sage's office space is less pretentious and his focus is obviously on the actual procedures - which was more important to me than mood lighting and background music. Also, that other group pressured me to opt for the laser-assisted upgrade, which I could not afford. I felt like they were shaming me into spending more and I felt like their priority was to make money and my vision was in the back seat.Although Dr. Sage presented this laser assisted procedure as an option, after I told him I could not afford the upgrade, he never mentioned it again. As stated previously, the results of my procedures, even without the laser assistance, are better than I had hoped. I believe Dr. Sage is truly interested in his patients' well-being.I am so grateful to have connected with Dr. Sage for my cataract surgical procedures and I highly recommend him to anyone else who is considering the same procedure.

I just recently had cataract surgery. I am highly nearsighted in my right eye and my left eye I am legally blind. Dr. Sage had changed my life completely the surgery was a success! The office staff is friendly and helpful. They showed much patience as we navigated my insurance coverage. Dr. Sage is wonderful, warm and caring. I was told exactly what to expect, and knew I was in good hands before, during and after my surgery. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I was able to schedule an emergency appointment with Dr. Sage, I got some metal fragments in my eye at work. Dr. Sage was able to get me in. He was able to remove the metal pieces from my eye in just a few minutes and got me some drops to prevent infection. I went to the front expecting to pay an arm and a leg and the pricing was very reasonable considering the circumstances. Dr. sage will be my opthamoligist now after this visit. I will see you again hopefully for a regular check up, thank you so much!

After resigning myself to the fact that age has set in and my poor, blurry eyesight was just something I had to live with....along came Dr. Sage, my new hero. I came home last week after cataract surgery and for the first time in 10 years, I can read the captions on my TV without squinting...I can read my books without moving them back and forth in order to focus and once again, I can drive at night.Thank you, Dr. Sage, for your kindness, patience and best of all, making me feel whole again. And I can't end this without asking...Does your staff take "a happy pill" before coming to work? Because they always made me feel like I was the only patient in the room.

Just had both of my cataracts done one per week and now I can see great out of both eyes. This is really amazing because I've worn glasses since I'm five years old and contacts since 11. I was super nervous but everything went more than great. Dr. Sage was extremely professional but also warm and the staff was very nice about putting me at ease. I want to specially mention Ariana and Araceli who bought do a great job. Dr. Sage owns his own surgery center so everything is under his control so that is also very reassuring. It was a perfect experience to have Jeffrey Sage perform my first cataract surgery. It's not too often one is so fortunate to get such a personable, sincere and compassionate doctor, to put you at ease, gain your confidence and make you laugh. I did my research and found him to have a stellar reputation. My primary care physician and optometrist both agree that he's a thoroughbred and a lovely person. Unfortunately, due to HMO shenanigans, because he doesn't belong to a mega specialty group, I am not able to get the second surgery by him. It was a sudden and brutal change in their policy. I have never been so saddened by anything like this. As a matter of fact, I am not following through with that surgery until absolutely necessary per my optometrist's advice. Dr Sage worked on my more problematic eye first, for which I am grateful. The monster medical group wants to send me to a factory. I had an initial consultation with an entirely cold and robotic ophthalmologist who's a part of a huge group. They have more than a few terrible reviews on Yelp. As my optometrist said, it's the difference between going to a Jiffy Lube and an excellent mechanic who runs his/her own business.

Dr. Sage has been my Opthamologist for a few years now. He is always so kind and welcoming to his patients. I had fallen off my glaucoma follow ups and had to go see him today. He was very thorough and detailed in my exam. I appreciate his candor and the way he makes me feel like I'm in good hands. I love Dr. Sage and could not ask for a better eye care doctor.

Dr Sage performed cataract surgery on my boss who is 92 with excellent outcome. Although the wait to see him is longer than normal but he takes his time and never rushes you. He explains his diagnosis thoroughly I like his bedside manners. I myself went to him for dry eye syndrome and he resolved all the problems I had in one visit while I was being treated by another eye doctor for 3 consecutive months without improvement. Now I am ready to have cataract surgery next month and without a doubt I'm having Dr Sage do it.

I went with my 92 year boss for cataract consultation. Dr. Sage has excellent bedside manners. Took care of my boss both eyes all within two weeks time. I, too, have cataracts and I will definitely have him perform my surgery without any doubts.

This was dream experience! Got in minutes ahead of appointment time. Eye exam staff was extremely caring and made me very much at ease, with humor and task efficiency. Dr. Sage is very warm and welcoming, and exudes an air of confidence and grace in his work. I quickly knew my diagnosis and everything was explained to me by Dr. Sage in a clear and articulate manner. Everyone in this office, including the billing/insurance person treated me with respect and consideration. I went to see Dr. Sage to have a routine check-up and to discuss the benefits of lasik surgery to correct my reading vision. I received a very thorough exam and he steered me away from surgery in a manner that was reassuring. His office staff was professional and efficient. I will continue to have my eyes checked by Dr. Sage in the future. It is nice to find eastside doctors that you can trust.

I had Dr. sage do my cataract surgery and it went extremely well His staff was great and very comforting seeing that I was a bit nervous and treated me very well. I felt no pain and I am going back in in a few days for my other eye surgery. I have no doubt that the treatment will be the same.

I went to see Dr. Sage to have my eyes checked for Macular Degeneration, a disease that runs in my family. I was nervous as I had not had this test before. Dr Sage and his staff were lovely. The equipment was state of the art and all were very knowledgeable. Dr Sage also gave me some great advice about general eye health care and suggested I come back in a year to have the test again to continue prevention with early detection. I will be doing that. I also really like the location as there are not many doctors on the Eastside I trust. I would recommend Dr. Sage office.
